First stop: Teatro Nacional de Catalunya

I love coming to the TNC even when I’m not seeing a play. One of my favorite things to do is sit on the steps overlooking the garden, write for a while or simply have a coffee.

It’s one of those places that makes you slow down for a moment, while still feeling very much in the middle of the city.

Second stop: Mercat dels Encants

My favorite place to hunt for little treasures. I’ll always say yes to a flea market, no matter when you ask me.

You can find almost anything here: tableware, furniture, paintings, jewelry and all sorts of curious objects. In fact, a big part of the decoration in my studio comes from here.

What I love most is arriving without looking for anything in particular and letting the market surprise me. That’s usually how I find the best things.

Third stop: Museu del Disseny

I have a particular weakness for the product design collection — furniture, lighting and everyday objects — but I also love the fashion exhibition, which explores different periods through clothing and silhouettes, and how they have transformed the shape of the body over time.

I always leave having noticed some new detail: a shape, a print, a material, a color or simply an idea.

Before or after the visit, I always stop for something at the museum café. The light there is beautiful.
